PRESSURE & SENSOR HARDWARE / 02

The pressure path starts with the body.

Custom pressure transmitter bodies from your drawing. KEC Tour reviews the process connection, pressure port, sealing face, sensor cavity, wall geometry, material and inspection requirements as one controlled interface before quotation.

BODY & PROCESS CONNECTION FAMILIES

Specify the interface—not only the pressure range.

Pressure range alone does not define the machined body. The drawing must control the process connection, sealing method, wetted surfaces, pressure path and mating geometry.

ENGINEERING REVIEW LOGIC

Five decisions before metal is released.

  1. 01Define the process connectionThread form, flange, hygienic face or custom mating geometry.
  2. 02Identify wetted and non-wetted zonesMaterial and finish follow actual exposure, not a generic part name.
  3. 03Control the pressure pathBores, transitions, wall sections and stress-sensitive geometry are drawing-defined.
  4. 04Protect sealing and assembly interfacesSeat, groove, shoulder, flatness and concentricity are reviewed together.
  5. 05Agree inspection evidenceMethod, sampling and report level are confirmed before production.

MATERIAL & EXPOSURE MATCH

Separate wetted from non-wetted requirements.

Final material, condition, certification, cleaning and finish remain controlled by the released drawing and quotation.

VERIFIABLE TRUST SIGNALS

Documents are useful only when their scope is clear.

Certification and assessment records relate to the manufacturing network supporting KEC Tour projects. Verify the legal entity, address, covered process and current validity against the document supplied for the order.

DIRECT ANSWERS

Questions buyers ask before an RFQ.

What should I send for a pressure transmitter body quotation?

Start with a STEP or STP model and a controlled PDF drawing when available. Identify the pressure port or process connection, wetted material, sealing concept, critical bores, surface requirements, quantity, inspection evidence and target delivery.

Which materials can be reviewed?

Common drawing-defined reviews include 316L and 304 stainless steel, 17-4PH stainless, aluminum alloys and brass. Final grade, heat treatment, certification, corrosion exposure and finish are confirmed against the released drawing and quotation.

Does KEC Tour manufacture complete pressure transmitters?

This page covers customer-designed machined metal bodies, housings and related interfaces. Electronics, sensing cells, filling, calibration, complete pressure assemblies and performance certification are outside the standard scope unless separately verified and agreed.

How are pressure ports and sealing faces inspected?

The method follows the released geometry and functional risk. It may include thread gauges, bore measurement, CMM inspection, surface-condition checks, flatness or concentricity verification and agreed documentation.

Can you support prototypes and repeat production?

Yes. Projects may be reviewed for prototypes, validation lots, bridge quantities and repeat batches. Revision control, fixtures, process checks and documentation scale with the approved production stage.

READY TO REVIEW THE PRESSURE PATH?

Send the body drawing. We will identify the missing manufacturing inputs.

Name, work email and phone are required. Drawing upload is optional for the first contact.
